Very pretty! Interesting fact: this is not the traditional tune for the song "Cruel Sister." This is a cover of Pentangle's version. Pentangle took their tune from a completely different traditional song, "Riddles Wisely Expounded," and used it for this song, along with the "lay the bent to the bonny broom....fa la la la la la la la" bit repeated in every verse, which also comes from "Riddles Wisely Expounded." Not a bad combo though.

They were a folk duo who were from the San Diego, California area and very similiar in harmonies. Their album was released on vinyl of course in those days but that same album was released a few years back on CD format. That album is just called, Kathy & Carol.
