@JoshClouds I know exactly what you mean. It was cheesy, but it wasn't a solo. He'd tell you himself. It was more of a musical bridge. He does this thing on every record where he has similar elements in every solo or bridge. This and "No Money" is an example. He did what was appropriate for this song though. I suppose his little part there is what was left of the first half of the song. Then it explodes. Like the song's story.

@crazycrl94 I know it does, I'm not saying he's changed it in anyway. I just personally think that a musician as talented at Mathew Followill could have come up with something a lot stronger. But I expect it wasn't his decision on the matter, as post production will have inevitably taken control here to create something more appealing to the public.
