If Wikileaks founder Julian Assange is trying to turn himself into a Bond villain, he's succeeded: the ongoing distributed denial of service attack against Wikileaks has forced his minions to move the site to a fortified data center encased in a cold war-era, nuke-proof bunker encased in bedrock. Really.

The host is called Bahnhof, and considering that the attacks against Wikileaks already forced its original host, PRG, to boot the site, and its second host, Amazon.com, to bow to political pressure to do the same, one wonders why Swedish Bahnhof would take on the challenge of hosting a site that will probably be under permanent attack for the foreseeable future.

Unless it's for the PR value: Bahnhof has hosted Wikileaks before. In which case, let the gallery begin.

Flickr user Antony Antony had a chance to take pictures inside the Bahnhof data center despite its usual no-pictures policy. All the images that follow are creative commons licensed by him:

speaking as a swede; julian isnt in half the trouble he thinks he is in. not only have our leaders decided to call practically everything "rape" (the punishments havent changed, certain types of "rape" is now a slap on the wrist crime) but its not even certain he has commited a crime. cant blame him for being paranoid though, i fucking would be!

  • ...wounldn't wish to go much deeper in crystalline hard rock as the thermal expansion events that shall be induced as a result of anticipated space weather (see heliospheric inclusion into local interstellar cloud or "when the heavens rolled back like a scroll 13,000 years back"), as we all know where thermal expansion seeks relief into the air pockets, which are few and far between in hard rock.

~what level of EMP/EMF shielding has ye net, inside this microwave oven soon to be ?

  • @fredroul I'd like to believe that, but the math looks bad, on the one side we have Julian Assange and one or two hard-drives worth of mostly embarrassing facts, on the other hand we have - pretty much every government and every corporation of size on the planet - save perhaps Greenpeace or Starbucks or something.

  • I hate your laugh. Got to turn off the volume to watch this. It makes you look stupid and unprofessional in filming a serious story.

  • @fredroul I am afraid the ''truth'' you are mentioning is long past due..

  • These guys got balls of steel! Don't give in!

  • @Sombomombo ...thx... Its really what itis... Good luck brothers and sisters

  • @fredroul

    wow... epic speach.

  • @ub3rsc00ber .... Why do you keep shooting the messenger instead of commenting on the subject?... Why do people think that shooting the messenger will work?... Why people are so stupid and primitive?

  • @fredroul

I was hoping one of those accomplishments would be Spellcheck.
