So really, he should have followed up his comments about 1925 and1975 by saying "so just because anything I have said in this talk comes to be proved wrong or total crap in 20 years or so doesn;'t mean we're false worshippers either, cause it's OK to make wrong predictions or just make it up as you go, as long as you're AWAKE and ALERT, right?"

I used to go to sleep in the toilet stalls for the whole day when I was dragged along to the assemblies. I gave this one a miss and listening to this, I am SO glad I did. What complete and utter garbage. Those blatantly fictitious little anecdotes in there, urg, so nauseating. Because apparently, real life scenarios always end with punchlines. I would have been laughing with that crowd, but for different reasons. Sooo glad to be awake to the ridiculous fallaciousness of all this.

Are you, dear, not going to die? Perhaps you should look into the (onceagain) new definition of Generation, in the 2010 April WT. Let me make it easy for you - now Generation is redefined as something so fluid that encompasses the overlapping lives of different people living in certain period of time. In English - the GB has just "bought" another 80-90 yrs to proclaim the end is near. Congrats!
