@TheTjm1010 ...I don't remember convicts taking over the precinct, but I do remember the 'Firemen ' episode...2 of my favs were when Jill went into the prison to give the prisoners their shots, and was taken hostage in an attempted break-out...and the 2nd one was when Jill's ex-boyfriend, Clive, came to town and wanted her back...I loved that show. That don't make TV shows like they did in the '70's. I hardly watch TV anymore...most of it SUCKS!!!!!!!

@TheTjm1010 : The one with the fireman killer is "An Ugly Way to Die", which I believe was the third-season premiere episode. Lou Antonio was the guest star. The other one is also from the third season..."Take Over" with Ray Walston (My Favorite Martian) and Vic Tayback (Alice) among the guests.

At least not until the economy picks up at a significant pace again. Or when Obama leaves Office in 2013 or 2017.

oh; man--when i was in high school I LOVED THIS SHOW-IT ROCKED--I ALSO LOVED SWAT--BECAUSE --of hottie Robert Urich--and don't forget the streets of san francisco--with micheal douglas and karl malden. A note: when micheal douglas left this show in 1976-to go on to an amazing big screen acting and directing career--it wasn't the same--he was replaced with a young actor named richard hatch-( whom was the original phil brent on abc's soap opera-all my children--1970-71 -he was so good-looking)--

Wow, Charlie's Angels went to the same police academy The Rookies did !
With regards to the second season appearing on DVD...I've heard that Sony really isn't interested in doing any more TV-related DVD's. Might be time to petition to Shout! Factory or some similar company to continue this series on DVD.
