Raw footage (last 90 seconds of the queuing chaos, and then the race) from the Upper Valley Rowing coxswain's perspective in the Master Women's 8 event at the 2008 Head of the Charles Regatta. What an incredibly fast field this year! What an incredible race!

  • How impressive. I typically cox a Novice Girls 8, oh dear Lord this looks so good in comparison!

  • Practice makes perfect... even though this was FAR from perfect. But a good time, for sure. Make sure to have fun in which ever boat you're in.

  • how long is this event again? like meter wise

  • The HOCR is three miles, which converts to 4828 meters.

  • Is it me or was 4 seat rolling up late sometimes?

  • @nellings6 Probably 95% of the time, actually. We never could break her of the habit of always doing the flip catch - nor of her propensity to feather with both hands for that matter. That's a combo just gagging to make the rower go deep. Great eye, btw!
