  • Freedom drain!

  • Shouldn't there be a bed of gravel in the trench BEFORE the drain pipe is dropped in and then cover the drain pipe with more gravel?

  • If you need your basement waterproofed in NY, contact me.

  • we had someone recommend this terminate into a tank, where he would install a pump that would pump the water out of the property.. would you recommend that?

  • I would like to see how it's all attached and the finished project. Are they going to put gravel over the wrapped pipe or just sod? I assume the one end will attach to the house guttering somewhere?

  • Your channel is truely inspiring! I have to give you a 5 stars! Love it so much. Let's stay in touch. Check out mine sometimes too!

  • @mikey1011mikey If you put any type of fabric on the end of the tube where the water is escaping, you will just impede the flow of that water. Do not cover the output of the pipe with anything. (Except maybe a very course grate to prevent animals from entering).

  • Can anyone tell me what to do with the other end of the pipe. Should it be covered by the sock

and under the rocks or should it be exposed to allow the water to escape?

  • nicely done. I need about 150 feet of french drain at my house. Gotta get to it!

  • @sinkryap It should daylight somewhere and yes you are correct. It does no good to install a "trench drain" not french drain without it being able to drain. Of course this is the DIY network so . . .
