This is the second half of the matches I had with Yggdrasill before I switched my search criteria from Single battles to Two-Man Squad. If I was being particularly thorough with my testing of the Wi-Fi activity, I'd have terminated the play sooner, but I just couldn't bear to be parted from such an even adversary...or well, not really even, but close enough that I was beginning to catch back up in terms of my reflexes and general battle approach.

---

Match #1 -- Chunin Exams Finals
Itachi Uchiha (Ms. Mutou)
vs.
Kabuto Yakushi (Yggdrasill)

I "love" how whenever I'm playing as Itachi, it's like...super obvious in hindsight that I'm not even scratching the surface of what he can accomplish. I mean, what kind of moronic nutjob takes a guy like that and forces him to do straight up taijutsu anyway? ... ... ...oh wait, that'd be me.

The guy has illusions and shadow clones up the freakin' tsukuyomi and I choose to throw a crow-illusion shuriken here and try my hardest to upset that weird too-good-to-use-a-sleeve swagger he's got going on with one of his arms. Some people are just beyond help.

---

Match #2 -- Shirato Street
Rock Lee (Ms. Mutou)
vs.
Sakura Haruno (Yggdrasill)

So, we all know that Rock Lee has gone to insane lengths in order to hone his skills and strengthen his body to the extent that what we mere mortals refer to as "training from hell" is what Lee calls "Thursday warm-up exercises"...but Sakura is able to direct and control her chakra to such an extent that she can rend the ground asunder with a simple punch and pretty much knock you into next week literally (you'll wake up with a killer headache, though). So, at their peak punching power (never mind the fact that Lee has to basically kill himself if he wants to reach that potential), whose fist would end up pulverized if they tried to intercept one another directly?

---

Match #3 -- Forest Hideout
Tsunade (Ms. Mutou)
vs.
Neji Hyuga (Yggdrasill)

I never actually noticed this, but when did Neji get so tall? I'm used to Tsunade towering over the little punks of the main cast in Part I, and nearly every moment after that is spent with her sitting at her desk doing paperwork and issuing orders, so there's not often a direct side-by-side height comparison with too many characters post-growth spurt... Maybe it's the mountain with her face now carved into it, but I just assumed she towered over all the shinobi of the Hidden Leaf Village.

I tried to remember which directional input caused brought on which of her jutsu, because I think I remember that if you can keep her alive with the Latent Ninja Power active, Mitotic Regeneration becomes free to attempt...ah well, it just shows I need to go to training and commit everybody's jutsu to memory, if nothing else.

---

Match #4 -- Tanzaku Castle
Orochimaru (Ms. Mutou)
vs.
Naruto Uzumaki (Yggdrasill)

When Naruto calls upon the power of the Nine-Tailed Fox in battle, it will probably be the first reaction of those caught unaware to panic...but I spent way too long trying to figure out how to best use his moves to take out super Deidara at the end of the story mode to this game to think that he's quite that magical or fearsome. Plus, he has to give up all his projectiles except for a beam that works like his untransformed aerial Rasengan, so you really just have to stay calm and watch for the openings like usual.

---

Match #5 -- Hidden Leaf Village: Night
Kakuzu (Ms. Mutou)
vs.
Asuma Sarutobi (Yggdrasill)

Kakuzu is one of those weird cases that excels at mid-range combat, and a wise opponent will stay just a tad too far inside or outside his ideal comfort zone in order to prevent him from bringing his most fearsome talents to bear.

That said, it's still rather fun to play as the big lug, so I have the feeling that I can always stand to squeeze in some more (much-needed) practice.

---

Match #6 -- Hidden Leaf Village: Riverside
Shino Aburame (Ms. Mutou)
vs.
Kisame Hoshigaki (Yggdrasill)

Just for the record, I'm quite certain that Yggdrasill did not disconnect on me. I mean, just look back at all the wonderful matches we had, and then consider that I didn't even show all of them, we had so many that I had the luxury of being picky about the ones that would be most suitable for upload! That and he'd lost plenty of times without actually having a problem with it. So now of all times to disconnect intentionally just doesn't fit the pattern.

Well, I mean, there's that, or maybe Shino really is that big a dirtbag jerkface who hurts the poor shark man's feelings. I love Shino...erm...of course I mean in the character...playing as... ... ...and watching him fight... ... ...and listening to him speak... ... ...I love Shino... (Too bad I'm really, really icked out something fierce by bugs in real life.)
