Documentation video of stage play. Poor video quality - particularly the first scene, which was dimly lit. London, December, 1883. At the river docks, the berth of a ship "The Matilda Briggs." Holmes and three streetboys are present. The youngest, Simpson, dives into the river with a battered carpetbag. A Beggar observes, accompanied by two small Urchins. Crowd gathers as a Constable rushes up the gangplank then urgently summons a detective from Scotland Yard, Inspector Lestrade as Holmes and the boys sneak away with wet carpetbag. Lestrade appears on deck with delirious ship's Captain, who collapses on the gangplank. By Thomas W. Olson, based on characters created by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. Directed by Alan Shorter.
