This is the sword I made for the upcoming Lord of The Rings prequel film "Born of Hope". After you finish watching my short vid, go check out the other official Born of Hope videos here on YouTube and get excited because this is going to be a very cool production indeed.

  • outstanding!

  • @91Roadwarrior Thank you very much. Unfortunately though my sword didn't make into the final cut ... The film is very impressive however, and you really need to watch it.

  • @RayGrinberg Trust me, I did. It was epic.

  • wow!!!! that's sweet! I love the movie, Kate did an amazing job

  • Meanwhile, guess who has real swords around the house, none sharp, for theatrical skits and pictures for a book I am working on? The skill you put into making your swords, I am sure, has taken years of learning. And, having been an advanced trauma paramedic for over 31 years, I can imagine how your sword)s?) can rend one part of the body from the other. Again, I am impressed with your sword(s?) and hope to see more of your masterful workmanship, even wizardry, in the future.

  • @oldfirelt : Yeah ... I was just teasing you. When I'm at sword training and our instructor asks how we might counter a particular strike, I like to do a pretend draw and shoot ... You can't beat a good ranged weapon in my opinion.

  • @oldfirelt Not At All ... I love wizards!!!! especially when they have a pet dragon :D

  • @RayGrinberg : Of course it is and was a sword film! I am just saying: "How quaint. However, I would choose my .45 ACP pistol over a sword any day!" If I were wisked into a fantasy gone real, I would prefer a bow, a spear and an ax. Meanwhile, several of my kids and I watched the films and greatly enjoyed them, filling in some of the "Unfinished Tails" for others that may want to know more about Tolkien.

  • @RayGrinberg : And you discount Wizards?

  • *LOL* ... Indeed ... but this one was made for a sword film not a gun fighter film !!!
