Terry McKean runs the coffee shop at Gorda (between Lucia & Ragged Point -- on the Big Sur Coast, CA). A year ago we were fascinated to watch Terry ride his own motorized bicycle invention . . . what do you get when you cross a weed whacker with a bicycle? -- a "Whackercycle," of course. Being fascinated by Terry's ingenuity -- he let me interview him on video. Now, with his permission -- here is the "whackercycle" for all who are interested.
and to Burton the landlord in Rockville- thank you for helping me have place to live during my Utah stay. God Bless you all in the Name of Jesus Christ The Lord, also known as Yud Heh Vav Heh.

I've moved from Utah and am back in Gorda now. Springdale, Rockville and Zion National Park are definitly beautiful. Check it out if you're in that area. Thank you Lorrie, Brit, Garen, Vickie and Terry, Candi, Mark & Melea, Dan and everyone else who showed great kindness to me during my time in their town.

your system is better than most because I copied most weedwacker bikes with friction drive on the flywheel and the pressure on the crankcase split the engine in half, I am definitely going to do something like this with my new strimmer

this guy is my dad!! i haven't seen him in 10 years--wasn't even sure if he was alive or dead or what. all i knew was he lived in Big Sur and worked at a coffee shop. I'm not shocked to see him inventing motorbikes out of spare parts--he was always collecting spare parts and he always had a bike he rode around the city we lived in when him & my mom were still together. wow, finding this video is too surreal. i wonder if he is still at that coffee shop (i notice the vid is a few yrs old)...

I've seen this guy before. He really is cool -- lately he is sporting a full beard. You may not recognize him. Cool way to get around.
