@zeldanilador4 Several other things, such as light sources, emit heat (other things could be those energy spheres, the light railings, and maybe even the: "1500 Megawatt Aperture Science Heavy Duty Super-Colliding Super Button").

They likely detect movement.

In Portal 2 multiplayer mode, you play as a robot, and still are targeted by turrets.

this is because the turrets shoot at anything you have heat, 'cause they have heat sensor and the rocket emits heat as well as humans (Chell) ^-^

here is why this happened to those who don't get it

if you played half life 2 , you should know that when you fire a rocket against a gunship , that gunship keeps shooting at the rocket , so maybe the portal turrets is scripted as the gunship , anyway if anybody has another explaintion you can replay me
