Hello my friend. The name of the song is "Jerusalem of gold". It was written by an Israeli poet Naomi Shemer in 1967 six days war. In that year Israel had united Jerusalem into one city and it has been like that ever since. youtube does not allow me to put a link to English lyrics. Look for the name of the song under Naomi Shemer and you would find the english lyrics for it. There are few versions to it, look for the one that starts with "fresh mountain air clear as wine

    peace"

Hello my friend. The name of the song is "Jerusalem of gold". It was written by an Israeli poet Naomi Shemer after the 1967 six day war in which Israel had united both sides of Jerusalem and made it into one. Since than has been open to everyone to worship more than it was while it was under Jurdnian rule. " "Next year in Jerusalem" is a blessing Jews say every year in passover in which they express their hope to fulfill the dream of going to Israel after being away from it..

  • I think I read that this song translates as something like, 'Next Year in Jerusalem'. The tragic poignancy of the words is that the song was sung by people in the camps. Even though they were very close to death, even though everything was lost, they still clung on tenaciously to the hope that 'Next year we will be in Jerusalem'. At the end of the movie, you see a whole hill filled with the children of 'Schindler Survivors' who did indeed live to sing 'Yeroushalaim Chel Zahav' in Jerusalem.

  • i love the Jewish language and their people, this song is a testament to such beautiful and resilient people

  • @paxtofettel I agree but the movie is hard to watch more than once due to the atrocities committed at that period in our history.

  • @TheStreetsBeats do you know the meaning of the lyrics? i would like to know, thanks
