  • Wonderful! It really consols me.

Today I was informed I have stomach cancer.

I couldn't believe that. Even though photos from endoscopy seemed quite bad, I didn't trust them.

After I got result today, I was dismayed for one,two hour, but calmed down again.

It's amazing how I came to hear those hymns often these days: O Happy Day(welsch hymn), Amazing Grace, and this hymn.

How can I worry about my disease after I found Jesus washed my sins away?

  • I had never heard the story behind the hymn, it is encouraging to hear a story like that. In the midst of hard times, Jesus will always be there.

  • Is this hymn sung in 4/4 time?

  • Really???!!! I don't agree...This is beautiful!

  • @tolkned How goes things?

  • We need to realize that JESUS is One Who can and Will help us when it clearly counts, when we're at our lowest ebb, when we can't see any way out. HE is our only way out and up!

  • Wonderful to see the large audience here for Mr. Ford sing Joseph's hymn. Joseph was older brother to my great great Grandmother Jane. World doesn't seem to know about her so I opened a blog. Drop by and visit & Best Wishes,

  • Larry does such a beautiful job and puts much feeling in it.

  • What a friend we have in Jesus!

Thanks god for Larry Ford and the Gaither Homecoming - friends!

  • Nice story, nice singing, but it was over arranged with too many clever, cutesy harmonies that made me lose the message of the song and Larry didn't help it with his irish tenor wannabe singing.

  • tolkned, Six years ago I was told by earth's physicians that I had 3 mos. to live. My diagnosis was a rare form of cancer, a tumor that closed off my bile duct. I was devastated but I knew that I had The Great Physician on my side. Today I am cancer free. Back in the dark days I found myself finding solace in Hoover's You-Tube postings here. I understand what you are talking about when you listened to the hymns here, they are indeed a great solace and inspiration.

  • Stunningly Respledent, Refulgent, Beautiful...Swept me off my feet with tears of Joy, Thanksgiving and Healing! Thank you All who made this most excellent, powerful, transformative version of this great song!
