Never had a problem aligning my ETX but it does need care;-0

i have this same modle and it is just such a pain in the Arse to align when you have done it so much because you have to ground level, point exactly north and telescope level(VERY HARD) and also it mkes the crank sounds alot and annoying so i just recomend manual and btw auto star is usualy wrong because you have to update the software periodicaly. but it is a pretty good scope

Its look like a little tiny dot, with 2 stripes in. Its very nice..

Is that a scratch on your lens? BTW, does it has any built in Camera mount can fit a DSLR? and is there any socket on it allow PC connection and control?

Yes it has a socket so you can controll it with a computer. But that cost and you must buy a camera to the telescope that you can plug into a PC.

it takes a little time to set up the telescope in position. But its very fun when you are finish.
