@instituteforocelots See I totally understand that, because I get the exact same feeling with other bands. Yet I was listening to El Cielo only yesterday, and it doesn't do an awful lot for me. Don't get me wrong, I respect the hell out of what they achieved with it, and I can see why it has more artistic merit than Chuckles, but I just don't enjoy listening to it as much as their later albums.

The Pariha... is probably my favorite from Dredg, as the art is backed by strong melody and focus.

@Hogweed2543 Because Long Term fans experienced El Cielo, and they couldn't top that masterpiece no matter how good their albums were afterwards. It was just too perfect.

@downpour046 I remember seeing them a year or so back, a while before Chuckles and Mr. Squeezy. I can honestly say that a couple songs, especially Upon Returning, just feel better live. However, I hadn't heard any of their new material at the time, so I felt like most of what they played blended right into their set anyway.

@downpour046 I've literally discovered Dredg less than a week ago, and of all their albums, it's their latest I'm enjoying the most. I didn't know it wasn't well received by their long term fans!
