Uncle ho(Ho chi minh) was an American Ally in WWII. FDR actually supported ,at one point in time, a free and independent Indo-China. China has left its borders: With the Mongols to invade Japan; Korean War and the China Vietnam war in 1979(it's obvious who was victorious). There are ethnic chinese in Vietnam. The are called Hoa or Minh-huong. They are all over south east asia. Before the U.S. was in Nam there were the French. Before the Frentch; the Chinese for nearly a 1000 years.
I am currently reading retired Penn State history prof William Duiker's 577-page 'Ho Chi Minh: A Life'. Duiker is America's foremost scholar of the Vietnamese revolution; Ho is, for me, the most fascinating politcal figure of the 20th century. Ho's father was part of the early resistance against the French colonialists.
Also, it's incorrect to say that China has never invaded another nation. Ho Chi Minh wrote about China's numerous invasions and occupations of Vietnam over the centuries.
Also, in the de Antonio interview 'The Making of "In the Year of the Pig",' de Antonio discusses how showing the film was sabotaged in movie theaters across the country.
Yup. America: Land of the "free"; home of the fascist thugs.
Hello Mr Hogan. Muchisimas gracias for the compliments.
'In the Year of the Pig' can also be found here on You Tube. Search using the title, and, under "Search Options," click 'Playlists.' A playlist of the film should appear for uninterrupted viewing.
And if anyone's interested in seeing the late Emile de Antonio discuss the film, search 'The Making of "In the Year of the Pig"'; it's a 4-part interview with de Antonio done in the 1980s uploaded by thefilmarchive.
In the Year of the Pig is a classic documentary. It's especially noteworthy because it was made before the Tet Offensive and when US public opinion turned against the war.
Haven't seen you uploading anymore. Hope all is well!

Not to nitpick, but didn't China invade and occupy Tibet? Like the video though.
