Groovability Cha Cha

JoAnne Fluke and Chris Pruitt (Bella Dance Studio) perform a Cha Cha at the 2007 Kansas City Spring Dance Festival, a showcase put on by Louis and Co (104 Marty, OP, KS) in nearby Overland Park at the Brywood Country Club. I was shooting video for the program and for individuals. Chris has a program called "Groovability" which is ballroom dance for people in wheelchairs.

JoAnne was the 2005 Ms. Kansas Wheelchair winner. She has caudal regression syndrome, a congenital condition, but this hasn't stopped her from not only dancing but also from graduating in 1998 with a double major in religion and in sociology or from going on a mission to Ghana, Africa. Indeed, she has a long list of accomplishments that most of us not in a wheelchair would justifiably envy.

my daughter has CRS, shes one of the very very lucky ones and she can walk fine. She was 22 months old when she started walking and before that the doctors said she would never walk. God is great.
