@whatsKRAKENnucca well it does make a difference. 4 hi is for driving in 4x4, while low is basically for crawling, shouldnt go more than 12mph

ههههههههه إنه جيد

That is why Japanese SUV`s are the best ever...NO# 1 for ever

Cool. People arguing on the Internet and both of them are dumb! *grabs popcorn*

@WhatsKRAKENnucca My friend has an 07 off road. And in the manual it says you can go up to 65mph when you have it in 4hi. And it says you can even switch into 4hi on the fly...

@PantstofryPWNZ I'm going to remind you several things:
1) You're wrong. Driving on 4wd like its 2wd is bad for a vehicles drivetrain, especially causes MAJOR hub problems. Xterra's have auto locking hubs, but you dont know what that is
2) You're obviously not a mechanic or have any sort of knowledge in vehicles, especially Xterra's
3) I have an Xterra, so I know more about it than you ever will
4) CALL IT 4WD DAMNIT saying 4HI doesnt make a difference

@whatsKRAKENnucca Remind me when I said Xterra's have center diffs. Oh wait, I didn't.
I realize that a car containing one (1) transfer case will have 4HI and 4LO coming out of the same one (1) transfer case. I'm still not sure how that limits you to 25mph in 4HI. And, how is knowing what kind of suspension Xterra's have relevant to this conversation?
-
@PantstofryPWNZ Dude I'm sorry, but you obviously do not know how a part time 4wd system works! You probably dont even know what kind of suspension Xterra's have. Your friends X will run fine because its a friggin xterra, but there is easily drivetrain loss. XTERRA'S DO NOT HAVE CENTER DIFFERENTIALS.
4 HI and 4LO come out of the same transfer case you're acting like its two totally different things. 4LO just utilizes a lower gear ratio for torque pulls, but 4LO should only be used in OS moment

@whatsKRAKENnucca I have googled it, and they said 4WD Hi is fine. Why would the manufacture's site say you can engage 4WD Hi at up to speeds of 65mph if it were bad? I just feel like after 7 years my friend's truck running flawlessly it can't be that bad. He does it multiple times a winter, not just a year.
The offroad version only has a selectable locker no limited slip, but I'm not sure about the regular Xterra's. If your going to buy one get the OFFROAD packagae!!
