Here is the opening to a 80's cartoon called Pole Position, based off the old arcade game from Namco (??wtf??).

I found this VHS with five episodes in a thrift store so I might upload some episodes.

  • The one character that got me hooked on this show is Kuma. Daisy's pet , Kuma , which according to Wikipedia , is a genetic creation and is a strange cross between a raccoon and a monkey (though the name "Kuma" is derived from the Japanese word for "bear"). Kuma is voiced by Marilyn Schreffler. Before looking it up on Wikipedia , I was wondering if because of the hands and feet that it was an Australian possum or something. For years I thought it was some odd breed of cat. Whatever , it's cute.

  • Ah thanks cool!

Kinda bizarre neither of them are driving an F-1 car though considering that's what you drove in Pole Position.

  • No right audio-channel, xBeatrushx ..... try copying left to right if no right-side exists....

  • @apossumsbestfriend Turned out Kuma was a genetically engineered something-or-other.

  • @MarioFreek45 That would have been a great tie in to the video game.

  • I hadn't realized it, but Dan looks an awful lot like Owen Wilsnon.

  • tee hee hee youll asume thier on a mission, but thier on pole position

  • I feel like a kid again

  • @dillzboy The Internet and markets changed. I grew up watching '80s and early '90s toons so I can relate.

  • David Coburn's 1st cartoon voice role. He would later voice Donie Wahlberg & Nikko (NKOTB cartoon) & Captain Planet (The power is yours).

  • Ohh so that's what influenced La Roux... :)

  • i grew up in the late 80's early 90's and Ive said it before that there is no such thing as "Saturday Morning" cartoons anymore. What the hell happened?!
