It will say on the back of the neck either=
Made in America
or
made in Mexico
or
Made in japan.
The best tone wise is American or Mexican, feel and build quality goes between Japanese and American and bang for your buck goes with Mexican.
I'd recommend Mexican because you get a very good tone and the price is right. Japanese are good but rare I recommend e bay. They are cheaper than Americans however.
In all fairness buy whichever one want to get. I'd get a mexican

@Alberto6143 ya know what? i've played 7.25 radius guitars and they're just as easy to play and bend on as 9.5 fingerboards. however, i really notice a difference when i play one with a 12''+ radius.

how do you tell if a strat is american cause i dont want to spend 1200 and find out its a mexican made or japan made

the usa one has 1 string tree. the mex has 2.
