In my years of doing parrot rescue, I wrote many poems. I wrote about what I saw. This is my first time publishing a poem on here, so I hope Ive put it accross quite well, and that it touches you.

Anne, That was so beautiful. My wife came in about half-way through and saw me crying and giving scritches to my little cockatiel, Emily; one of 10 birds we've rescued. We volunteer at a bird hospital/bird rescue and appreciate the kindness that other people show toward birds in need.

Thankyou so much for that lovely comment! There have also been times when my own sorrows have weighed me down, and the birds have given lift to my heart, and become MY wings.
