Interesting claim, you are suggesting that the more atheist you are the lesser your educational level? All studies performed actually contest that, where is your evidence for believing something like that?
@OhioFilmCore im sorry did you jst call atheists being ill educated as a given? so the rational humanist thinkers, who can look to evidence based science to explain the world and show that there is no evidence whatsoever for a god. or look to philosophy to explain the more indefinable and metaphysical matters, for example, are idiots?
while people who take the mainly disproved myths from a book they are usually indoctrinated to believe in as a communication from a god arent?
Creationist are atheist because literal interpretation is for the simple minded. It is quite obvious that literal interpretation serves no intellectual use. those who do this only do so to mislead the ignorant. To suggest a supernatural being is responsible for creation implies a denial of God. To suggest the world was zapped into place is of no use. The biblical creation actually refers to the creation of earths Heaven, The time when man became more than an animal, a living soul.
The 1st step is to understand the written word in history. Until recently, many nations still had no written word such as: Africans, Aborigines, American Indians etc no writing = no articulation in science or culture. In Biblical times the list is greater. These peoples are referred to as Gentiles, especially tribal peoples. No group of people had any form of writing without religion. As each group perverted their religion a new church was set up among gentiles, new writing followed.
Hail Mary full of Grace the Lord is with You. Blessed are you among Women and Blessed is the Fruit of your womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, Pray for us sinners. Now and at the Hour of our death. Amen.
Now we just have to work on your smugness, which must come from the close-mindedness. The first step is admitting that people wrote the bible, and people also write science fiction.
