---------------------

Ten years ago the 'Agile Manifesto' with its 4 'values', accompanied by 12 'principles', began a transforming journey impacting the creation, deployment and durability of 'working software' worldwide.

On Saturday, March 12th, 2011, Our Journey Continues in Dearborn, Michigan as the Great Lakes region assembles for the second annual 'Agile and Beyond' conference at the well-appointed Conference and Event Center.

Our day of discovery begins with widely acclaimed 'Lean development expert', Mary Poppendieck, exploring seemingly intractable challenges and offering her ideas for innovative solutions.

Following Mary, Breakout Sessions include a Panel moderated by Dianne Marsh with four entrepreneurs on the forefront of the 'Agile' movement in our region. Two 'Experience Reports', provide candid transparency into the inner-workings of some of our largest corporations. And regional colleagues offer insight and wisdom acquired, not from reading a book, but from personal practice.

Following lunch, the conference is organized in 'tracks' to ensure compelling content for professionals from any application development specialty. This includes hands-on technical coding workshops for developers. And for non-developers---interactive process workshops to 'make real' what is otherwise simply words. For those that prefer
informality Tom Kubit facilitates 'Open Space' conversations throughout the day.

We conclude with nationally known 'Agile Coach' David Hussman speaking to agility as a tool instead of a mandate... and focusing on outcome instead of inputs.

Whatever your role, you are a vital member of our IT community. We look forward to your participation. At our first conference, 400 practitioners invested a Saturday to attend this amazing regional event. This time, we anticipate a sell-out crowd so register today at ... AgileAndBeyond.org
