2009 CLS63 vs. 2008 BMW 335i JB3

Friendly race between a 2009 CLS63 AMG and a 2008 BMW 335i Sedan with a JB3 tune @ 15PSI (v1.3 map7) vishnu intakes, straight exhaust from cat-back. The BMW had a 1 second jump on the CLS, and pretty much stayed ahead by a car till the end of 3rd gear, after than... the video speaks for itself.

If the CLS was launched in Manual mode, it def would have jumped on the 335i and stayed even til 70. It also had heavy ass 3pc 20" wheels on 25 profile tires and a passenger (camera man).

The BMW raced an 06 M5 (experienced driver) and took it by 2 cars, as well as an 08 M3 sedan.

ok another clarification for this video. we just spoke to the kid who's 335i is and this is NOT a JB3.

He has V3 NON Rev 2 (which is older than dirt and not nearly as powerful). A resanator delete (which does nothing for performance and a Dual cone intake by injen which produces some of the least gains for an intake.

I have no clue oh you just spoke to, but you didn't speak to the owner of the 335i. He has a JB3 v1.3, running on Map7. Correction, he also has Vishnu intakes, not Injen. He has stock DPs, Stock Cats, and straight 2.6" cat-back.

wow, this is a lighter , tuned 335i that is known to be crazy when tuned and the previous generation cls63 still walked it. im ordering a 2012 cls63 next week. cant wait!!!

bot cars pretty nice but that 6.2 benz engine is a beast. I currently have cayenne turbo and am looking to get cls63. I drove test drove 09 cls63 and it is very fast. 335i is nice but it is like a civic with a turbo.

this is quite out of peeformance for a JB3. JB3 should have give you a better race till around 140 MPH , and he is lying if he said he took an M5 unless the M5 wasnt running on M mode. if you dont knw what M mode is, it mean when it is off the M5 does arounf 400 HP to the crank and with that M botton ON it does over 500 HP so do the math
