It's a dump.....
Stayed there when I first came to Vegas in 97 thinking that being one of the originals it would have some sort of nostalgic feeling..
Food crap service crap and thank god for the Bellagio...

@Funaki99 At the Sahara they have some deluxe rooms with balconies in the Alexandria tower. There is nothing to keep you from jumping off. It seems silly to bolt windows shut when you could jump right off of the balcony.
-
That looks like in 2006 cause I was working on a couple buildings that I see.

Room view of Stratosphere nice....no screens on windows!!! Basic room, nothing fancy, cheap rates, air didnt work well, and many things such as buffet not opened...a little disappointing but OK since not in room much......

We go at least 4-5 times a year always stay at the sahara!! love the atmosphere!! whos in the room anyway... vegas isnt a city to sleep!!! check out the balcony rooms on the the 15th floor.... theyre awesome!!!! very 70s but great memories....

that room sucks compared to others in vegas, for the money, you get a lot more than that. "Ahem" Luxor 50 bucks a night.

3 years ago you wouldn't have gotten a room at the Luxor for 50 bux a night unless you visited Las Vegas on some specially priced trip during the off season. This video was shot 3 years ago and my wife and I paid 400 each for round trip air fare (from Wisconsin) and hotel accommodations for four days and three nights during the beginning of the peak season...plus we got a sh!twad of perks to go with it.

i always thought all las vegas windows were bolted shut

This window would only open about 1 foot. There were stops that prevented a person from opening it all the way.
