The official website for the Darker Than Black: Ryūsei no Gemini television anime series has begun streaming a promotional video for the first Darker than BLACK - Kuro no Keiyakusha side story. The side stories recount what happens to the main character Hei in the two years between the original Darker than BLACK - Kuro no Keiyakusha science-fiction adventure series and the ongoing Darker Than Black: Ryūsei no Gemini sequel. The side story videos will be bundled with the even-numbered Blu-ray Disc and DVD volumes of Darker Than Black: Ryūsei no Gemini. (The second BD and DVD volumes will ship on January 27 in Japan.)

you seem to have the wrong impression of how/when animes get dubbed. First of all, by definition anime airs in Japan first.

Because it is aired in Japanese, it is subbed by fangroups into English for the non-Japanese community, such as yourself.

If an anime is popular enough, then a production company from another country may purchase the rights to DUB the anime, such as FUNimation in the United States.

@vinceguntr0n this is one of the few animes that i disagree with you about, I prefer it in English rather than with subs. But your right on most accounts, English can really make a show look awful.

If anything, I found the JAL/STreamline dub to be very bad. Oh sure, it's more "faithful", but it's just plain stilted and lifeless. Disney's dub may be more loose, but it's much better acted overall and flows much more smoothly than the choppy-sounding dialogue and dull voices of the original JAL version.

OK, I'm gonna make this clear: DISNEY HASN'T RUINED ANY OF GHIBLI'S MOVIES. Despite what some fans may feel about them, the fact is that Miyazaki isn't unhappy with them in the least. Compared to LOADS of other dubs, they're some of the best in business. And seriously, LAPUTA's dub may not be perfect, but it's not bad in the least. It's actually quite good. True, the leads sound like teens, but everyone else is perfect in the Disney dub, and the new score adds to the film in many ways.
