It isn't fake (: VW TSI engines give a little more bhp than shown on technique stuff. The 122bhp 1.4 engine actually performs 139+/- bhp, and the 160 gives almost 190. That's because of the turbo, that simple.
The Scirocco R is a 2L engine with turbo and compressor, it can easily perform as shown on this video. (:
