Members of the Society of Physics Students (SPS) chapter at Christian Brothers University (CBU) in Memphis, TN, demonstrate that a bowling ball with enought initial gravitational potential energy can roll around a loop without falling off the track and hitting the person sitting inside the loop on the old noggin. The loop was first constructed from electrical conduit by a team at the University of Memphis several years ago. It was headed for the trash heap when it was rescued by Ted Clarke, a CBU physics professor. SPS members refurbished it with the help of Mr. Bob Moats, head machinist of the School of Engineering.
Nice video, despite the video lagging the audio. I might put this clip in my video. Also, I have some video of the basketball test, so I might splice that into my video as well later.
