  • I thought the point of this wasn't to place blame. Why pick out one facet of the people driving on the road, and say they are so much to blame for accidents? If you really think that's who's at fault, come up with something to fix it. Don't say "Stop talking on your cell while you're driving, it's illegal anyway." Send letters to the authority saying "Step it up!" It takes nothing to comment on a video, placing the blame on a soccer mom, but to write a letter... That's doing something.

  • It would be alot easier to not blame anyone if the majority of the motorcycle accidents were the fault of the rider.. the percentages are so high. Cars have to understand they are hittin people.. not a motorcycle. When they hit... the rider is so vunerable and exposed.. they really dont have much of a chance.. To post a video to make more people aware is an easy was to start things.. just like you have done here.. So do keep it up.. Comments are great!....

  • There needs to be more education for all road users. Perhaps even (god do I say it) a little more common courtesy towards our fellow man. Car drivers, please look out for us because we are out there just look thrice!

  • Hey there.. I honestly feel that people are becoming more aware... accidents will happen reguardless of if drivers are aware or not... it happens with automobiles too.... We just have to keep the awareness fresh.......so that is what I will be working on with novascotiabikers..... more awareness.....

  • @2wheelsteve I move out when theres a side road coming to be seen or if Im going round a L/H bend or no oncoming traffic, think about it cause it could save your life

  • I know some will think this comment aint worth while but I see riders all the time in a dangerous road position with oncoming traffic, in the uk we drive on the left and when Im out riding I change my road position constantly and on a road even with double solid lines I sit over to the left on a straight so oncoming cars behind the lead car will see me and even if they pull out to overtake I only have to move a foot to safety,

  • I hate it (my wife doesn´t) wear flourescent vests or something like that, to make you more conspictous in traffic!

But I put most blame on cars that have "no" rear view mirrors! Or eyevision (the drivers) for that matter. What can you do? Like the fighterpilots off WWII, keep your heads on a swivel!! Drive safetly out there!

  • it can happend out of no where i got hit with gyprock that flew off someones truck not tied down, i went off the road and the drive has no clue he caused a bike accident.....

  • if someone said that to me well talking i promise id start smashing there fucking face in with my helmet!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Please let your husband know that you can ride your entire life and never have a "close call" or get "cut off". The mental aspect of riding is anticipating hazards before they happen. Always see 12-20 seconds a.head, lane placement, looking both ways at green intersections, looking behind you at stop lights, leaving enough room for an escape. Ride safe

  • Respectfully, if you are getting "cut off" and "close calls" twice a week, I feel you need to anticipate these hazards and not put yourself in this situation. My mantra is that if I have a close call, then shame on me and I need to not have that happen again. Ride safe.

  • I agree with bwkorotkov. Yea kill the rider cause he's riding a way you dont like. We for the most part know what we're doing and our limits. Cars Just need to stay put. Don't move in our path just cause your pissed

  • Unfortunately, I've had several people tell me how much they don't respect a rider, they hate how they drive, they hate the noise they produce, everything. These same people have also stated that is they see a sportbike flying down a highway at excessive speed they will "take the law into their own hands" and cut them off. Same idea for for anything else they may deem inappropriate. As a sportbike rider myself, its a fuckin' piss off. Its not us(majority of the time), we know our limits.

  • when you take ur car test u shud also have to ride a bike for 1 day even just a 50cc scooter and then theyl look out more cos theyl c how dangerous it is
