A guitar solo of Manhã de Carnaval by Luiz Bonfá from French Italian Brasilian movie "Orfeu Negro" (Black Orpheus, 1959). Solo guitar arrangments by Brian Hodel, with several personal variations to get a new version a bit less jazzy than the original.

  • ah quelle beauté que tu as jouée! mais dis donc, tu joues des deux cotés...? cette vidéo tu as l'air d'être gaucher, mais une autre vidéo tu me sembles droitier?

enfin, j'aime bien tes interpretations, tu m'as inspiré à reprendre ma guitare :)

    bisous

  • Non, non, bien que gaucher, je joue comme un droitier, c'est que j'ai dû changer l'option "miroir" de ma webcam entre les 2 séries :D

  • timaryz2008. The man playing is not Luis Bonfa. Thearrangement being played is from a book called "The Brazilian Masters". Itsa Brian Hodel Arrangement. The credit isproperly given in the notes to the right. Luis Bonfa's original is very very different from this. He wrote it as a Boss Nova piece for the film Orpheu Negro. He plays his original with Caterina Valente singing on You Tube.Just thought you should know.

  • magnifique interprétation.

  • Your play it wonderfully, but what struck me is the way in which you hold your instrument: Like a lover, you embrace one another.

  • Marvelous....the roving time set it free.
