Quantum Technology From Phenomenon to Industry Standard...
This topic aims at demonstrating, on the one hand, todays fundamental understanding of quantum research and, on the other, the special role played so far by the Austrian research efforts in this regard. In reference to this topic reputable representatives from the industry and the scientific world came together in November 2009 at the AIT and discussed issues to consider ways and means concerning the industrialization of quantum technology. The podium discussion was accompanied by the presentation of own-produced short videos, which illustrated the functioning principle of the quantum encoding technique in a very simple way. Moreover, industry representatives and normal citizens confronted their expectations in quantum research.
