rap game in 99 - the south was comin up with no limit and cash money gaining momentum. mase had just laid his mic down and nas fell with the critically maligned nastradamus. so it was upto jigga and x to fight between the no 1 position. they went neck to neck for a while but x just couldn't keep on. great artist anyways. also ja came hard wit his debut but he fell off soon after. the hip hop underground came back in full force that year with operation doomsday. new york was still shinin. peace.
