  • I'm right in the middle of the weight range for the 195--so it was a no brainer for me. Ultimately, people will debate your question endlessly. You have to decide which is more important to you: control authority, or light wing loading. Also consider whether you're more likely to lose or gain weight in the future. I can tell you that an outstanding pilot who is well over the recommended weight range for his glider will outperform an average pilot on a lightly loaded wing every time.

  • What is your body weight? I fall right between the two sizes and am trying to decide between the 170 and the 195.
