There is a very sweet children's book based on this song - "All God's Critters", fun book to sing along to and my 3 year old loves it.

Fantastic. I saw him in concert in Homer, Alaska when I was a wee lad. This song has been part of many a family hootinany since and I'm proud to say I've passed it on to my own kid. Thanks for putting in on.

Bill Staines is As Good As It Gets. There simply is no better than him, and of course this song, along with "River", is the apex of his career. I last saw him in concert more than 20 years ago and sure would like to again.
