@TheSockPuppetShow there is no 32mm, there is no 120mm, there is no scarlet coming out, and dynamic range of digital and film is comparable by now. thanks. film is not dead, but dying slowly. I used to be sorry, but i am not anymore.

Film cameras arn't obsolete, hence why a lot of people still shoot on 32mm. Film picks up details in the highlights and shadows that digital just couldn't touch... The dynamic range isn't even worth comparing.
Is that a sony btw?

@audioception both your numbers are wrong...
Try learning about film before trying to correct people on it.
Normal film is 35!
and yes, they do shoot 65 and 70... but not 15.. they do 16 and 8.
Also, IMAX does 120.

@breakcoma7 15 refers to the number of perforations--i shoot 65mm with a 15 perf pull-down--imax does 120 what? not fps--and check jack tankard imdb OR BETTER YET--go see Sean casey's "Tornado Alley" in 3d when it comes out next year--ACTUALLY SHOT IN IMAX
