Covox (Stereo-On-1) LPT Stereo DAC - home made (sound card)

This is a short presentation of my latest gizmo. It's Covox (Speech Thing) Digital-to-Analog LPT (parallel port) stereo sound card. Kind of forgotten device but easy to build. The sound is not perfect but it plays stereo, 44kHz!

I got the schematics (and much help!) from HighTreason610 so visit his channel if you're interested in building one for yourself.

All the music (demoscene MODs) during the slideshow is playing with Inertia Player (Iplay) via the Covox DAC @ 44kHz, stereo.

Well, I think that it's just properly recorded (exactly the same parts used) and the Inertia Player is the only app which gives me clear sound - try it yourself. Sometimes it starts playing distorted sound and you have to stop it and try again. Also, for some strange reason the DAC works only with my PC and none of the three laptops I've tested it on so far.
