This is a cover or George Harrison's While My Guitar Gently Weeps by one of my favorite artists Derek Webb. The video is just a look at hypocrisy in action. I'm a Christian but I know there are so many ways that the Church falls short, either in not caring about the world we live in or radicalism taking Christian beliefs and contorting them around into something hardly recognizable.

  • I checked out the Toto one, i like the vocals, the music's a little 80's for my taste, but that's more of a personal thing haha.

Yeah, I like what he did with this, most of his stuff was accoustic or at least simpler (steel guitar with some minor effects tucked in there) until a couple years ago and I'm still getting used to his new direction but I'm liking it so far

  • It doesn't make sense to me to not have guitar solos in this song. The way Clapton played the solos on the original made it sound like the guitar was really weeping. I do like this version, but still.

  • I love Derek Webb, somewhere north is my all time favorite song, I had NO idea he did this song! Their (caedmons) version of the U2 God of this country was awesome live!

  • Nice song! Do you know the Toto version? That's the best one IMO :)

    btw.. I'm Christian too :)

  • interesting video....
