Pancake was adopted on 4-29-10, one day before the birth date listed on his intake records, 4-30-08. He was taken into the shelter on 4-08-09 after being struck by a car and having his owner refuse to pay for his medical attention. The staff asked me to work with him since he had never had obedience or leash training. He was incredibly fearful of cars and pulled on the leash like a train. As far as I know, I was the only person to ever get him out of his kennel for walks. Good luck buddy!

He's becoming one of my faves. It's taken me a couple of months to get him comfortable with the bike. Most dogs take to it right away but he had what I consider PTS (post-traumatic stress syndrome from the accident.) He was incredibly fearful of cars when we first started and the bicycle freaked him out also. The first four or five times I tried the bike I ended up just stopping and walking him because he was so stressed by running next to it. You can see that he's learned to relax quite a bit.
