you should give what is in your heart to give to help. not because of law or rules but because you have love for whereever your money is going. can`t take money with you ppl! god LOVES givers. he is the greatest giver. should god only give us 10% or 1% of himself...quit being greedy

Well for starters they didnt tithe 10% in the old testament if you read the law that Moses passed on too the isralites it was 1% not 10%, The church in the book of Acts was a soul winning church Acts 20:20 and if any church isnt soul winning then its a dead church!! and when i mean soul winning they should be out in the streets every week! Thats the kinda church you wanna be apart off and give your money too! Churchs today who teach 10% are NOT saved! its a free will offering with you and GOD!

Was not the tithe, of the old testament, food only? In the sense that if someone was a carpenter they didn't pay any tithes, where as if you were a Sheppard or a farmer you paid a tithe?

Also, was not the tithe a (the) tenth of produce, and not ten percent? For example, if you had one sheep, you did not tithe 10% of that sheep, or for that matter if you had 9 sheep. You would only tithe if there was a tenth sheep to give?
