I don't really understand the point of this exercise... is to train the concentration to keep the feet in the correct position?

The idea behind this training exercise is to challenge your balance and concentration. At a basic level, we usually practice the forward roll from a static position. This exercise lets students practice moving into the roll from a moving position.
