  • @9bye19 yes, you should! I'm doing great yea.. I had some troubles with the couchsurfing experience... Lesson learned I guess.

  • @JulieBrondeel I have one right down the street so I'll definitely pick some up. I'm glad to hear you're doing well. I watched your most recent video and it sounds like things got a little sketchy with your living situation, but in the end turned out ok. Take care and have fun in the sun.

  • @9bye19 mmmmmm moules-frites... delicious.... and Duvel, great choice!! Palm is very good too..

I am doing super! So happy to be her, I'm finally settled down and starting to fall in love with Los Angeles. :)

do you have a Trader Joe's in your area? Look for the "speculoos cookie butter". It's a belgian specialty and realllly good. cinnamon taste and very good on your toast in the morning ;-)

  • @JulieBrondeel Hey, how have you been? I had moules-frites tonight for dinner, and I wanted to thank you for the beer suggestion. I started off with a Palm, which was good, but I tried the Vedette and it was delicious.

  • @JulieBrondeel That's interesting and surprising given the small size of Belgium. I was only able to try it because a specialty shop I go to received a limited amount of it, and the single bottle I bought was quite expensive.

  • @9bye19 yea that's so true! Vedette is a kind of young beer, it exists since 2007.

Delirium is very good, I agree! Westvleteren has a limited availability here in Belgium so I've never had the chance to taste it (weird right? As a true Belgian..)

  • Haha, It has to be a universal truth that mom's soup is always the best no matter where you come from. But in all honesty, there probably isn't anything better thats less pretentious than some good beer and fries. I have tried Duvel, but have not tried or heard of Vedette. I will have to keep an eye out for it when I am at the liquor store. So far my favorite Belgian beers have been Westvleteren 8, Delirium Tremens and Cantillon Iris.
