  • thanks!

  • that dosnet happen to be a Gropp Automotive engine now does it?

  • nope sure isn't. scott and the gards use 2g 2 bbl carbs. this has an edelbrock. i do have a gard 2bbl on another engine however, and it's wonderful!

  • how many runs can you get out an eng like that? Most people around here run small block chryslers, what are you thought on them, like the 318

  • i'm not sure. quite a few i hope. it's got a steel crank, scat rods, kb pistons, and a comp solid roller cam. i run full synthetic oil and change it after every run. i will probably tear it down and check everything after ten runs. i like mopar engines, just don't like the transmissions.

  • I am big demo fan and driver, but I never did understand the purpose of running and possibly ruining the such a hi po eng. I have good luck with bone stock small blocks. Whats the piont of biulding such a stout eng for demo, Id rather build the rest of the car and run a good ol reliable small block chevy.

  • Well, that engine is just a bunch of parts that I had lying around after i built a new engine for my sonoma. I got tired of seeing them not being used, so I bought a gasket kit and some headers and there it is. It's very reliable, doesn't steam out the overflow, and i'm not afraid to run it hot. The 462 casting double hump heads on it withstand heat very well. My cars are built equally as well, so I'm with you there. I guess to each his own!

  • @HBMAN665420 it blew in july at the mobridge sd derby. it was a green and yelow wagon. it lasted, im not lying, why would I lie about a sport im involved in every summer. im not in it to win it, im in it for a good time, if you still think im lieing good for you, I know im right, its not hard to get that many runs out of one motor, my buddy has a 350 hes gotten 21 runs out of, its all a matter of matienance and extreme luck, im suprised it lasted as long as it did myself I see your point.

  • @MrCoolguy1988 ok, lemme find them, I have a little more going on right now than worrying about uploading pics. small blocks are better, but when you have a junk engine that runs inside a derbied chevy pickup, what else to do with it? tryit till it stops, and the runs it was in werent all mine, it was in two for a pickup, three in a red white and blue impala, 4 in a pontiac, and 2 in a biscayne and three in a wagon. I sold it, my buddy crushed it the wagon after it blew. it lasted. not lying.

  • @HBMAN665420 lets see a video or pictures you lying cunt. no one likes a fuckin liar

  • @MrCoolguy1988 liar pretty strong words, the reason I use it its strong. cant collapse the fenders with that, and its thick walled, you cant break it, I sold it a week ago to a guy for his pickup to rebuild, and by 14 runs, they werent all in the same car, about 5 cars. and i won two. so you know nothing.

  • i love how "snappy" that motor is

  • @HBMAN665420 u know nothing about demolition derby liar trying to say he runs a big block...if he does you never win

  • i've gotten 14 runs so far out of an old 454 motor that aint worth a shit. you cant blow it. te head is so thick, it wont blow.

  • you runnin at perry this year?
