@plowboymark Marty Stuart was born in 1958. This was filmed around 1962. Marty went pro at age 12, in 1970. Not with Flatt and Scruggs, but with The Sullivans. He first performed with Lester Flatt's Nashville Grass on Labor day, 1972. Scruggs was not part of that group. Flatt and Scruggs broke up in 1969. Given that info, it's not likely to be Marty Stuart in this video.
I don't think that's Marty - this must be late fifties early sixties at best and there are videos on youtube from Marty in the early seventies where he is still a young teenager with long hair. Check out the dueling banjo video for example. This guy looks too mature to be Marty at the time in question
@CARROLLCTYDOBROGIRL Just Lester and Earl were guest on this episode of the Pet Milk Opry show (around 1962 if memory serves me correctly), that featured Porter Wagoner as the main star.
Good to See Floyd"Lightning" Chance at work on the bass here.

Benny Williams playing electric. He was an excellent musician and singer. He must have been in the house band.

@longlivejerryg I'm pretty sure that's Marty Stewart. He joined the group when he was 13 years old.

there's an electric guitar in the background - that's pretty avant garde
