On February 2, 2008, approximately 15,000 Idahoans attended the Barack Obama Rally in Boise, Idaho, the largest political rally held in Idaho's history.
The impact of Obama's visit to Idaho was felt at the Ada County Democrat Caucus in Boise, February 5th, with a record number of 8,240 votes cast resulting in 84% of the votes cast for Obama in Ada County 1 and 87% of the vote cast for Obama in Ada County 2.
Statewide a record number of 21,224 of Democrat votes were cast in Idaho. Obama received 79% (15 delegates) of the vote and Clinton 17% (3 delegates). These numbers contrasted with the 2,000 Idaho Democratic caucus votes cast in 2004 and a statewide 2004 attendance of 4,920 participants.
Thanks for this. I actually didn't even vote for Obama. But a part of me is glad he'll be running this country.

The fact that he has taken the time to stop by Idaho... that's remarkable. Barack, though I was skeptical of him before, is very likely to be the one to get America out of the ditch. I look forward to seeing him as president.
