What animal is it?

Make sure your speakers are turned up. I'm afraid I couldn't record a better quality, maybe next time.
This is the sound of an animal somewhere outside my window. It usually cries around an hour before dawn and I find its cries really very creepy. I have lived here for 15 years now but never heard this animal before it suddenly turned up a couple of months ago.
Any clues what it might be very much appreciated.
