Well I understand why the community has chosen that, it is sometimes the same in the Church of Sweden too. If it is a great cathedral it is more understandable when the altar is very far away from the congegration, about this is not the case here.

Nice, is this episcolian or catholic? Too bad the mass is not celebrated ad orientem when there is a nice high altar in the back.

This is an Anglican Church (Episcopalian) in the Anglican Church of Canada. The community has chosen to use the nave altar as the altar of celebration. The High altar is used for some occasions and is the one censed at Choral Evensong.
