The best, (I'll say that again), THE BEST rider and ambassador for the sport of freestyle BMX riding EVER.
No one else ever invented, innovated, pushed forward nor did as much for the popularity, image and soul for the sport as much as Mat Hoffman. Not even close.

@ThePanzerfist44 I see your point but the whole point about the sponsors is so you can ride without having to worry about money. If your not sponsored and you ride, espically(sorry for spelling) big air your going to break something and that doesn't look good when your explaining to your boss... It is all about having fun and going bigger! The sponsors just means don't need to worry about living costs and you get to travel the world as a bonus!!

@verticalcinema87 - best comment ive read in a long time my friend - seems its now just about the image and the lucre instead of the challenge and the fun , amongst old timers and those who know - Mat has godlike status - he set the bar and its been there ever since .
