@iaf22 I've been playing violin for almost 7 years now, and starting to play this. It's probably one of the most challenging things I've ever played. If you're going to learn just to play this, prepare to be committed for a long time.

pretty good for being rusty, if you got it then you never really lose your chops, its just a matter of workin out the kinks and such.

I'm 30, and i'm thinking about starting to learn Violin just to be able to play THIS bach...your comment is not encouraging though.. i thought after 1,5 years you could play something that looks a bit close to this.... x)

I picked up the violin for the first time at the age of 32 and in 1.5 years I was TRYING to play this. By heart I had almost the entire first movement but intonation was......well let's just say not there. Not even close.....but moving through it and trying was the most fun part. This girl here looks like she is having fun! And, she's courageous too.. posting classical music with no back up is BRAVE as classical musicians are so damn critical of themselves but even worse, to everyone else.
