Kimber Custom II 1911 45 ACP

The name Kimber has always been associated with high quality firearms. If you want a solid, accurate, and well made 1911 style handgun, you can't go wrong with one of these. Even though the Custom II is one of Kimber's "lower end" guns, it is still a top quality firearm. The tolerances are match grade and the weapon is both super reliable and extremely accurate. They're pricey, but in this case you get what you pay for.

And YES, I know you shouldn't slam the slide shut on en empty chamber.

The only things that the Classic II needs are better sights and a top grade SS magazine, like a Wilson.

Instinctive shooter,close range? Keep the stock sights and get excellent mags.

@TraviBurke I've had a few kimbers and never had any issues with them. I like this one a lot. I've heard some folks think they are junk, but again, I've never had an issue. Based on my experience, I'd have no trouble recommending one.

Ive heard great things about kimbers, but never used one. would you guys recommend theirs? my favorite handgun is still the beretta M951. used it for the first time on a military tourism trip in israel. and its been my favorite ever since then. and by the way, we shot a LOT of guns on that trip, and the beretta was still my favorite. if you guys want to check out the trip, lionops.com
